Driver insurance

Hey All,

I currently work with a group of 160+ drivers inside a whasapp group. They all work to individual takeaways but I facilitate getting shifts covered and finding drivers for local takeaways that need a driver.

I’m wondering, as i know Redbox is working on Waybox. What insurance companies work with individuals for pay-as-you-go insurance? I have had a number of drivers in the group asking and i said i will see what i can do. The main one, Zego, only insures drivers that work to the main platforms, JE, Uber, Deliveroo, Amazon, etc.

Any advice or help would be amazing.

Hi John,

As you have found, pay-as-you-go insurance providers don’t normally work with individuals. This is because they require the platform to report into their system via an integration, to ensure accurate driver activity information. We will look into an integration like this as part of Waybox.
