Monday Payouts – A Small Feature That Makes a Big Difference

Just wanted to give a quick shoutout to the team at Redbox for something that’s made a real difference for us at We Eat Local – the Monday payout schedule.

Having automatic weekly payouts land every Monday (covering everything up to Sunday) has been a genuinely powerful feature when chatting to new takeaway partners. It’s such a simple thing, but when you’re up against the bigger platforms that hold onto payouts for days (or weeks), being able to say “you’ll get your money every Monday without fail” really lands well.

It’s helped us stand out, and more importantly, it gives our partners a bit more control over their cashflow – which, as we all know, can be a bit of a nightmare in this industry.

Massive credit to the Redbox team – I know there’s been a load of hard work behind the scenes to get it right, and it’s appreciated.

Curious to hear what other marketplace owners think – do your partners comment on the payout schedule? Have you found it helps with signups or retention?

Thanks for highlighting this, John. We agree it’s a fantastic USP that can really benefit aggregators like you when competing with the larger platforms for restaurants. It took a lot of work with our payment providers to make this work, but we felt it was really important given the pressure there can be on small business cash flow and a worthwhile investment.

We want Redbox to genuinely be the best technology option and are constantly working as fast as we can to close any gaps we can see and make things even better where we can, like in this situation.
